Goodman Sparks is UK Distributor for the NewGenn Service.
How does the service work?
The service is designed for use in environments where there is a concentration of people. Typically this extends to Care Homes, Hospitals, Hotels, Universities, Colleges, Schools and Cruise Ships.
The Service replaces the need for standard janitorial consumables and provides water based products that clean and prevent infection outbreaks without using harsh or dangerous chemicals. The Service covers the supply of:
• All surface cleaners including mirrors and windows
• Furniture, carpet & fabric cleaners
• Laundry chemicals (including auto dosing pumps)
• Toilet cleaners
• Kitchen cleaners
It’s an all inclusive service from a single supply source providing guaranteed infection control against Norovirus (commonly known as 'winter vomiting disease') plus MRSA and Clostridium Difficile. The service is designed to help break infection cycles and most importantly prevent costly infection outbreaks.
We provide all consumable products so you don’t need to spend valuable capital in advance to put stock on the shelves. All chemicals and associated dispensing equipment is supplied and maintained at no extra cost as part of the service. We provide you with the appropriate quantity of products commensurate with the scale of your organisation with agreed minimum re-order levels. We also provide full staff training on the use of these products.
As you begin to use the service you will require additional products to maintain stock levels and there is a simple form to complete and fax back informing us of the products you require. Replacement products are delivered free of charge by 4pm the next working day (Monday-Friday) anywhere in the UK and Northern Ireland.
If you have experienced a Norovirus outbreak within your organisation we offer free technical support, including professional on site assistance to help with the decontamination process. Indeed many of our current clients initiated the service after experiencing the inconvenience and associated cost of managing a Norovirus outbreak.
What does the service cost?
The service is charged on a per-resident, per-day basis. The service is invoiced monthly in arrears based on occupancy numbers supplied by you (if no figures are supplied then full occupancy is assumed).
Importantly, we do not require your commitment to a long-term contract. We provide our service based on a 1-year contract term that is renewable year on year. We have a strong belief that our service is first-class, priced competitively and that we keep the promises we make to our customers, we rely on these factors alone to earn the right to renew your business with us.
Pricing does vary depending on resident numbers and the contract term chosen. Discounted prices are available for 2 or 3 year contracts.
What are the benefits?
Managed Service - We assist you every step of the way, each client has a Technical Account Manager who will visit you periodically to ensure the service is meeting your expectations and is available as required to offer advice and guidance.
Peace of mind - Antimicrobial activity is incorporated into all critical cleaning chemicals. Proven and tested efficacy against MRSA, C Difficile and Norovirus (including spores). Products are Health Protection Agency supported and all chemicals are manufactured to ISO9000 / ISO13485 standards.
Predictable costs - Single monthly invoices from a single supplier reduces your administration time in terms of reconciling invoices from multiple suppliers. The single invoice can be split by individual location for organisations with multiple sites to enable simple re-charging of the service to other budgets. The service is priced per-resident per-day therefore your business operating costs can be quantified and transferred directly to the resident's invoice.
Water based products - Supplied with the service do not contain alcohol or chemicals that are harsh to the skin, therefore staff will be more inclined to use them, this is particularly relevant with regard to the Foam Hand Wash which is based on natural plant oils that make it very kind to skin – this will ensure adherence with Hand Hygiene procedures and compliance with Government guidelines.
Fully inclusive service - No hidden costs.
Full staff training pack - Contribution towards NVQ Qualification.
Halal approved - Halal compliant/permissible products.
Supporting evidence
The Health Protection Agency has produced a document advising Cruise Liner companies how to erradicate Norovirus from their vessels. Attached below is a link to the Health Protection Agency web site page where a copy of this document may be downloaded.
Note - please see the product table on page 48 of this document for evidence of Health Protection Agency support for the technology.

Pre-contract Assessment - You may want to test the service first with a 1 month pre-contract assessment.
If this is your preferred route then all you have to do is provide us with a start date for the assessment (allowing time to run down stocks of your current products) and we will agree with you the appropriate finish date for the assessment period.
After the assessment period end date we either agree and sign a contract and continue the service OR we remove any remaining products at no further cost or obligation.
